     2 pounds round roast
    1 pound    red potatoes -- cut in half
   4  large carrots (or small bag of baby carrots)
   1  large  onion
  14  ounces beef broth
   3  tablespoons cornstarch
   3 tablespoons  water  
     seasoned salt


In a roasting pan, place the roast with 1/2 - 1 cup of water.  Sprinkle all with the seasoned salt.  Cover tightly and bake at 350° for about 3 hours hours.  After about 2 hours add the potatoes and carrots.  When done, remove the meat and vegetables, add the broth and cook to a boil on top of the stove.  Mix the cornstarch and water to form a paste, and use this to thicken the broth for a gravy.  

 

    Notes :  Your basic yummy meat and potato dinner.  Hard to resist.
