16 ounces ground beef 7% fat
1 large egg white -- lightly
beaten
1 package onion soup mix
13 whole saltine crackers -- mash into crumbs
2 tablespoons skim milk
1 tablespoon horseradish
sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 packets beef
gravy -- prepared as directed
2 cans mushroom pieces
In a bowl, combine the beef, egg white, onion, saltines, milk, horseradish, salt and
pepper. Shape into 4 round patties. Broil, bake, or barbecue the patties until
cooked through and brown. Pat well with paper towels. While the patties are
cooking, prepare the gravy and add the mushrooms.
Notes : A timeless dish, and is really quite
