1/2 cup cooking sherry
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons cardomon OR ground
ginger
2 pounds flank steak
Combine the first six ingredients and put in a large sealable plastic bag; shake well to
mix; add the steak. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, turning once half way
through. Broil or grill over hot coals for 8 minutes turning once for a medium-rare
steak. Slice on the diagonal in thin strips.
Serving Ideas : Serve with my dad's favorite - any potato!
Notes : Red meat means higher fat no matter what you
do. Plan for the barbecue and make sure you get lots of vegetables and other low fat
stuff throughout your day. One word for the taste
though........Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
