16 ounces ground
sirloin
1/4 cup skim milk
1 small onion -- diced very fine
1 teaspoon ground
thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups bread crumbs
16 ounces cranberry sauce
-- jellied
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon
beef bouillon
1 cup rice -- prepare as
directed
1 each egg white
Mix the sirloin burger, milk, onion, thyme, salt, pepper, egg white and bread crumbs
well. Form into 12 meatballs. Bake at 400°, covered, for about 20-30
minutes. In the meantime, while the meatballs are baking, heat the cranberry sauce,
mustard, water, and bouillon. If wanted, to thicken mix 1 tablespoon water and
cornstarch together and stir in. If serving with rice, place meatballs on top, and spoon
the sauce on top of the meatballs and rice.
