    For The Barbecued Pork  

  1  tablespoon  hoisin sauce

1   tablespoon  ketchup
   1   tablespoon   soy sauce

   1   tablespoon  garlic -- minced
     1/2  teaspoon   sugar
   1   pound  pork tenderloin

      For The Sauce

2   tablespoons  soy sauce
   2   tablespoons  garlic -- minced
   1   teaspoon  rice vinegar
   1  teaspoon  sesame oil
   1   teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon sugar  


For the Barbecued Pork:

Preheat the oven to 350° and line a shallow baking pan with foil. In a small bowl whisk together hoisin sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and sugar.  Put the pork in the baking pan and coat with the sauce mixture.  Roast the pork in the middle of the oven 1 1/2 hours, or until a meat thermometer in center registers 160°.  Cool the pork completely in the pan.

For the sauce:

In a small bowl stir together the sauce ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Transfer the pork to a cutting board and at an angle cut the meat across the grain into thin slices.  Arrange the pork overlapping slightly each other; pour the sauce over the pork.  

 

Serving Ideas : Serve with stir fried noodles or rice
