Serving Size : 8
1/2 teaspoon each:
allspice, chili powder,
onion powder,
paprika, sugar and
seasoned salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
3 1/2 pounds beef brisket - fresh all
visible fat remove
1 cup diet cola
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire
sauce
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 cup barbecue sauce
Combine the cola and Worcestershire sauce. In a large sealable plastic bag,
pour the sauce over the beef; seal. Chill for 8-24 hours. Drain the meat;
discard the marinade. Combine all the dry seasonings; rub well all over into the
beef. Place in a roasting pan. Combine the vinegar, soy sauce and barbecue
sauce. Pour over the meat and seal tightly. Place in a pre-heated oven set at
350°. Cook for 3 hours, occasionally checking. You may have to turn a few
times during the cooking process, and add some water if needed.
Notes : Extremely yummy. This
is a barbecue that you make in your oven! Try serving with Garlic Mashed Potatoes,
and use the barbecued beef sauce as the gravy.
