    16    ounces    Top Round lean only
   2    tablespoons   chili powder
   2    tablespoons   garlic -- crushed
   1    tablespoon    sugar
   2   tablespoons  Worcestershire sauce

  Mix all the ingredients together except for the beef.  Make a paste; rub evenly and into the beef,  the paste on both sides.  Place in a large sealable plastic bag and marinate for 24 hours.  On a preheated - hot grill, barbecue for 7 minutes on each side for medium-rare.  Anything more than medium rare will be more tough and dry.  Slice very thin, and serve.


  Serving Ideas : Serve with garlic mashed potatoes and a  tossed salad.

Notes :  You would think with all the garlic and chili that is being used that this would knock your socks off....not so.  The flavors blend so well, and they become more subtle after cooking.  This is a wonderful recipe. Beef is always higher in fat, so make your meal leaner by adding lots of veggies, and plan a lower fat day to enjoy without guilt.
